I started Everything More Canine with a simple mission: to help owners enjoy their dogs again. Too often, I see people struggling with dogs that are reactive, anxious, or just out of control. They love their dogs, but they don't like living with them.
My journey into dog training began with a passion for understanding canine psychology. I realized that "love" isn't enough—dogs need leadership, structure, and clarity to thrive.
I specialize in the "tough cases"—the dogs other trainers turn away. Whether it's aggression, severe reactivity, or intense anxiety, I believe every dog deserves a chance to be understood and rehabilitated.
how it all started
Kaylen Coggins has been professionally working with dogs since 2020, though her love for animals began much earlier—growing up surrounded by them. Her passion for dog training was sparked while working as a Kennel Technician at a dog boarding facility. There, she had the opportunity to meet a professional trainer who invited her to assist with training sessions. From that moment on, Kaylen knew she had found her calling.
Since then, she has dedicated herself full-time to dog training, working alongside several respected trainers throughout the Chicago area. Through hands-on experience and continuous learning, she has developed a deep understanding of canine behavior and effective training methods that improve the lives of both dogs and their owners.

We use a balanced approach that utilizes both reward-based techniques (food, praise, play) to teach new behaviors and fair corrections to stop unwanted behaviors. This clarity helps dogs understand exactly what is expected of them.
real world results
Training in a quiet room is easy. We train for the real world—parks, busy streets, and home environments. Our goal is a dog that listens to you anywhere, anytime, not just when you have a treat in your hand.
